What do we learn about God in the relationship between Jesus and The Father?
Welcome to Day 25 of Lent 2026 Wednesday of the 4th Week of Lent. Today's Gospel reading and Encounter with Jesus is John 5:17-30
You can find the reading here:https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/031826.cfm
Everything that the Father has is of God, God reveals himself to us through the Father, The Father has sent his Son Jesus show us what God desires to Reveal
Everything that Jesus does comes from the Father. In today’s encounter Jesus is trying to help the Jewish people and others, to understand Jesus’s relationship to the Father, so that they can come to understand the divine nature of Jesus - God
I want to continue to hear his Word in my life so that I continue to grow in a deeper relationship with God and my faith continues to grow.
How has your Lent experience helping you to grow in a deeper relationship with God?

Healing Encounters with Jesus There always seems to be a question asked that is so relevant for me. Today’s Gospel, Do you want to be well? In essence Jesus is asking Do you want to be healed?
God reveals his Desire for us: In and through Jesus, God reveals his desire for us. To restore us. To have us experience God's compassion, mercy, and Love. God knows our suffering and struggles because he knows our broken humanity. When we experience God’s healing and Grace, we get to experience his divine healing. Something only God can provide for us.
Why is this important for you and I? Does it really matter for my life? Well that depends on how I answer Jesus’ question today? Do I want to be well or healed?
Is there something about my life that I would like to be different? Do I want my family to feel closer to one another? Do I desire less anxiety in my life? Do I feel trapped in the way society is telling me I should be living? Do I live with resentments I cant let go of?
Today’s Question and Lent helps me to realize even more that each day I could be asking myself these types of questions. And each day I could be encountering Jesus’ healing. The question is, Do I really desire it?
Let us pray

Why Does God encourage Humility instead of Self Righteousness
Welcome to Day 22 of Lent 2026 today is Friday March 13, 2026. Today's Gospel reading and Encounter with Jesus is Luke 18:9-14
You can find the reading here:https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/031426.cfm

In todays Gospel reading Jesus parable
Pharisee vs Tax Collector
Self Righteousness - more towards themselves and less toward God. Full of pride
Humility - recognizes his brokenness, recognizes his need for God and his mercy
God Encourages Humility because in our humility we see the way our lives needs Gods healing and through that healing we gain a greater sense of joy and understanding of who God truly intended us to be in this life
Before you stop listening I want to encourage you to think about something I have come to realize myself.
It is not about understanding this in a big general way, it is about practicing it in today, in the small moments of your life. That is where it all makes a difference. Let me expand on that for a second.
Lent for me has been a great time helping me to grow in my humility. Recognizing the areas of where I need to

Is your Love of God a Commitment or a Sentiment? Or a little of both?
Welcome to Day 21 of Lent 2026 today is Friday March 13, 2026. Today's Gospel reading and Encounter with Jesus is Mark 12:28-34

For me, one of the characteristics of a true commitment is the acknowledgement of Him in my life each day. In my time of prayer and reflection with him. Another is during the day the recognition of how He desires me to interact with others. To interact with His Love - To Love Others As I Have Loved You.
This is what is great about Lent - we have this moment to recognize how we can be growing in our relationship with God, so that we can grow more into the person God knows we can be. We can grow in greater holiness.
Growing in your relationship with God, doesn't have to be difficult. You don’t have to take big leaps. If you give yourself 5 more minutes in your day to spend with God for two weeks that would be great. Then maybe add a few more minutes to that in 4 weeks.
Lets pray asking God to guide us in how we can grow in a deeper relationship with Him so our lives become
Let us pray

What Role Does Doubt play in your life?
Welcome to Day 20 of Lent 2026 today is Thursday March 12, 2026. Today's Gospel reading and Encounter with Jesus is Luke 11:14-23

This marks halfway through Lent and in the scripture passages we can really begin to feel the tension around Jesus as he continues to move closer to Jerusalem. Leading us into Holy Week.
So what is the tension that I felt personally in today's Gospel reading.
Amazement: First we hear people being amazed by the miracles that Jesus is performing. At first we would think that this is good.
Resistance: However some others begin to question Jesus and by what power is he really able to do these works
On the one hand we have people saying, Wow this is great. Then others saying, Can this really be? The same can happen in my life. It seems like my faith in God is strong, then all of a sudden it seems to weaken. This tension for me causes Doubt in my life.
Jesus recognizes this in the people, in us. And he responds by reminding us that he is God. This is where I need to rely on the Holy Spirit to strengthen me and to help me with my lack of faith. For me, this just shows me that I need to continue to be strengthening my Faith.
Lent is a great time for me to discover where I am weak and how I can ask God to strengthen me.
Let us pray

How significant is Jesus’ in your life? In this episode I am going to share with you my reflection on Jesus’ statement I have come not to abolish but to fulfill taken from today’s Gospel reading. His fulfillment helps with my healing.

In today’s Gospel reading Jesus makes an important statement. A statement that should be directing how we live our lives. For me in this reflection for today, the most significant words are to fulfill. What is it that Jesus is fulfilling that we need to pay attention to so closely. Its simple: Gods desire for us. How he desires us to live
Jesus is fulfilling the Word of God - this is where the Catechism helps us today
Jesus is the Word of God. When you read scripture Do you imagine God speaking directly to you.
In Jesus’ words, it is God speaking directly to me.
The question for me today is, How attentive am I to the fact that this is actually God speaking to me when Jesus is speaking. How attentive am I to how Jesus is encouraging me to live.
When I hear his words, how do I respond? Repetitive or Anew?
Do I try and go to a deeper level or am I complacent with where my relationship with God is?
Let us pray
